Learners outside UK - a week of intensive tuition
Each course includes a week-long (20 hours, 4 hours
per day) programme of tuition in English designed to
meet the needs of professional business people whose first language
is not English. Tuition groups are taught by highly qualified
and experienced tutors; groups are very small (maximum
4 learners), with learners grouped according to their
proficiency in English. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly,
conducive to progress in language skills, both oral/aural and
written. The focus is on English for the special needs of business,
such as negotiating, making presentations, telephone skills
and English for social occasions. Programmes of study are designed
in consultation with learners, after discussion of their particular
language needs.
Preparation for particular examinations (eg Cambridge exams,
BEC) can be provided on request.
The programme will normally run from Monday to Friday.
Tuition takes place in the mornings (from 09.00 to 13.00),
in newly equipped study facilities located in the centre of
Royal Leamington Spa, situated in the ‘Heart of England’
region.
After morning lessons and lunch, learners will spend the rest
of the day exploring the local area, with support and guidance
from school staff.
